HOSPITALS.....BLAH!!!!

So much has been happening lately that I can't find the time to blog. Mum's been unwell and after undergoing some angiograms, discovered that there are blocks in some small arteries in her legs and also her left arm.
Those blocks in her legs are, according to her doctor, not necessary to operate. She just needs to move her legs more often to keep the blood circulating. The block in her left arm is a rare case. She is getting all breathless because the block there causes the blood to use one of the major arteries that was transplanted there during the last bypass and the doctors are afraid that if they don't clear the left arm block, that major artery will get overworked and be blocked in no time at all. So God works in mysterious ways and we were told by the doctors at NUH that because there will be a cardiac medical convention in early August for Asean doctors and mum's case is a rather rare one, they want to use her as a 'live case' . Meaning that the experts will do the procedure for mum in NUH and broadcast it right there and then to the many Asean countries participating in this convention! So exciting! Oh and the best part is we don't have to pay for the surgery at all, just for hospital bed charges and medication.
Well her appetite's improving though somedays I still need to nag her into eating.Now we're just counting the days to 4th of August so that she'll be re-admitted to NUH to prepare for the procedure.
