happy outing

Nicholas is so excited. He woke up knowing that he is going to see his best friend ChenJun(CJ) today!! Now CJ is older than Nic by 2 months and he is a delightful child. They fight and snatch and quarrel whenever they meet and play together, but it's fun, at least for the mummies, to see them fighting over toys and cars. You can actually see the power struggle and each of them trying to establish their status as 'the big brother'.
One thing that I'm proud of is that whenever they get into physical scuffles, Nic usually doesn't raise a hand to hit CJ. He'll just hold on tightly to whatever they're fighting over and move out of CJ's reach.
He enjoyed swimming tremendously. He just splash around and he knows how to hold on to the sides of the pool and just kick his legs in the water, and he absolutely refuses to use a float. I'm pretty confident that he'll grow up to be a confident and independent individual.

terrible twos

Talk about a temper. Everyday Nicholas is testing everybody to see how far he can go and on most days, he can get away with anything as long as grandma's around.
He'll sweep things off the table, throw his toys around, scatter his books on the floor and even hit his grandma. These are just a few examples of his misbehaviour. Of course most of the time these things happen when I'm not around.
He knows that I'll discipline him if he does any of the above.

mummy's thoughts

Yes my baby's all grown up at 2 1/2 years old. He's a tyrant at home, especially with his grandma and the maid. He's quite well behaved when I'm home because he knows where the boundaries are, though that doesn't stop him from testing me at times. He knows that I'm firm with him and I mean what I say.
His grandma is his biggest fan. She goes all soft like jelly when he turns those big round eyes on her and use his little pleading voice to ask for things that I refuse him. Sometimes he would drag her into the bedroom and close the door so that I wouldn't hear what he's asking her for! That's bully for you.
